Cleaves Hall

Cleaves Hall is a beautiful old building in the middle of the centre. It is three stories high. Right next to it is a church and left next to it a bookshop, all related to each other. The bookstore therefore sells religious books and other religious items.

The rooms are very small. I don’t mind that too much. There is room enough to put all my stuff away so I’m happy with it. I bought some little things to personalise it to make it feel a bit homier. A poster on the wall and some lights that change colour. My room is situated at the topfloor.

When I get out of the building and look to the right, I can already see the shops of the city centre.

During our stay here the 'livingroom' is a good place to get together and have some drinks or watch television. Sometimes a movie night is organised by one of the students, using a laptop and DVD to play a movie on the tv.

Next to the student residence is a church that also belongs to the Congregational Federation. Keith, the care keeper let us in one Saterdaymorning. Nowadays there is a floor made between the balcony's and the churchpart is now upstairs. There is even a painting of 'Willem van Oranje' present. Because of the floor that was build later, the pipe-organ looks oddly. You can see the pipes but the seat of the organist is lower.

Marcel and Diana came over for a visit. Saterday evening we had a little party in the kitchen of Cleaves Hall. We played different drinking games and had a lot of fun together with other students in this house. There are pictures too of course .........

Wow, leuk om zo te kunnen zien wat je doet en hoe je omgeving eruit ziet.

    Tot de volgende keer,
