Robin Hood

Five of us payed a visit to Nottingham Castle, Gayla, me, Ilan, Jacqueline and Valerie. Fun thing is that we get in for free if we show our NTU pass. Students of the NTU and inhabitants of Nottingham don't have to pay, unless it is weekend. There is a big park too so it is a wonderfull place to be when the weather is nice, just to sit there and read or have a picnic.

It is only a two or three minute walk from Cleaves Hall before the statue of Robin Hood gets in sight. We had lots of fun with the statue. One of us brought an apple and stood in frond of the statue as if Robin was about to shoot the apple.

The original castle was made of wood. It has been rebuilded a few times. Last time was around 1880 and they then build it in a way that it also could be used to acommodate a museum.

When you are at the castle you have a beautiful view over the city. You can also clearly see the sandstone where Nottingham is build on.

Picture of the Castle and the view.

(more info about the Castle and Robin Hood will follow)
